Arm rest for early sport seats

You may want to do some more homework on this plan
before you rip into the seat back. When I installed sport
seats from a 1990 200 into my '88 5kcs, I found the arm
rest interferes with the center console, even when the
console storage compartment lid is removed. If you
look at a car such as the '90 200, you will see the console
is very low profile and completely different than yours.
Even the parking brake mechanism was redesigned to
accomodate the arm rests. My suggestion is to not worry
and be happy.
