I have to examine it more closely, but it appears that it is bending in the
middle from being jacked up in the center.
I have been jacking the car up using a commercial quality floor jack with a
6" lifting plate/cup, and jack standing the front corners of the SF. I never
noticed any deformation or problem, until recently I thought my center
bearing was going bad, as the car would vibrate trough the floor & chassis
upon deceleration. It ended up that the pan was setting on the subframe.
I know that this is a classic turbo side motor mount symptom, but I also knew
that the mount was only about 8 months old. I replaced the mount anyway, and
it seemed to cure the problem, but yesterday the vibration returned and the
frame & pan are touching again. Since the car is a constant work in progress,
it's jacked up often.
How does everyone else get them up in the air? If you use the jack points on
the sides, there is a lot of chassis flex to the front end.
