'92 V6 engine oil leak

Probably the valley pan gasket. Gasket leaks oil into the V until it fills,
then it drips down the rear of the engine. Was a problem on '92 and early
'93 V6's. I had to have mine replaced about 4 years ago (~60k miles). Leak
never got real bad, just hated the oil dripping on the garage floor. Have
not had a problem since (I believe the new gasket is of an improved design).

I have an oil leak in the V under the intake manifold of a '92 100 2.8 V6 Q.
I also have the same oil leak in a '93 2.8 V6 Q. This seems to be common?
What is the common source of the oil leak? I am trying to avoid exploratory
surgery and order parts to do the fix prior to teardown.
TIA for all insight.
