Hello Audifans,

I'm faced with trying to remove the flywheel on my '88 5kcstq. I've
got it all taken apart up to that point, and I'm wondering what the
best method is for holding the crank in place while I undo the bolts.

I think this is one situation where the tranny bolt method won't
work. Perhaps I need the crank locking tool now.

I suppose if the front crank bolt is in there tight enough, I should be
able to anchor against that and then undo the rear bolts.

I don't have a compressor or any type of impact tools. Maybe it's
time to buy one of those electric impact guns?

Thanks!

Ken
