Hello Listers,
Here's what I've got going on.
'89 100 non quattro, auto. Car has recently begun to sputter, and sometime=
s stall, check engine light has come on only to go off without leaving a tr=
ace of what code may have caused it to come on to begin with.
It's my understanding that the trouble codes will flash, one at a time (as =
I reinsert and then remove after 4-5 seconds from the fuel pump relay) unti=
l the 2.5 second 0 code. However, this is what I got this morning.
Car running after a 20 minute run, check engine light is on:
4444 - no codes in memory
2.5 second 0 code
2341 - O2 sensor.
2232 - Air flow sensor potentiometer.
In that order. I don't think I should have gotten anything after the 0 cod=
e, should I?
I have lots of experience with Ford EEC-IV. Very little with the CIS-EIII =
system. Where do I start? O2 sensor?
Thanks for the advice.
