4000 csq won't rev past 5000rpm

check blaufernugen's site, www.audiquattroparts.com, and poke around until
you find the section where they sell fuel pump relays.  they list all the
correct part numbers for the different mid 80s audi models' fuel pump
relays.  compare their numbers for your model of car to the relay that is
actually in your car.
 a FP relay from other cars, some of the mid 80s coupes, took an indetical
LOOKING relay that has a cutoff at 4500 or 5000 or something like that., and
often when the relay is changed the wrong one can be put in, causing this
problem.
