I have a few questions and one problem with my 89 90q.

Problem:

About a week ago, my car began smelling like gas once I got in after sittin=
g for up to about 24 hours. If I were to wait a day, the smell was virtual=
ly gone. This past weekend I removed the trunk liner and back seat to try =
to find a gasoline vapor leak somewhere. The rubber hoses connecting the v=
apor return line and the gasket at the gauge float were all fine, no fumes.=
There were also no puddles anywhere in the trunk near the tank.
I then recognized, running the car sitting in traffic, that the fumes seeme=
d to be coming from the outside. I was sitting at a light with my window o=
pen, and the same fumes were escaping. I ran my car in the driveway and th=
e smell seems to be coming from the driver's side, underneath the car. The=
fuel pump is there, right? It was humming away, but no drips.

Guesses?

Questions:

1. I bought some RedLine gl-5 75w90 for the rear diff, where are the drain=
/fill plugs?

2. What's the capacity of the transmission/center diff for the mt90 I boug=
ht?

3. Are there two washer fluid pumps? I get flow with lights on from the l=
ight washers, but with lights off, no pump running and no flow with lights =
on or off for windshield. The rubber grommets with hose connections under =
the jets on the hood are also dead, nice and torn. Should I just get those=
at the dealer (McGrath Audi in Glenview IL)? Is there a better source tha=
t's worth waiting the shipping time? I'll probably end up with the blau wi=
per fluid pump unless the dealer price is exceptionally inexpensive, does B=
lau stock these grommets?

TIA
