Being better than haynes isn't saying much. Maybe I should write a

I assume you're refering to the wide-open-throttle switch (AKA "WOT
switch"). It causes the mixture to go rich when you floor it, for a
bit more power.

Turns on the idle stabilizer and also tells the ECU it can shut off
the fuel if RPMs are above 2000 (better engine braking and saves a
bit of gas).
