Go aftermarket....it' much cheaper!!  Many people have had great success

$225 for a cat for your car seems quite reasonable to me.

Using my trusty hammer as my guide, I drove the car until it acted up.
Banging the cat with the hammer seemed to dislodge whatever was blocking the
exhaust and remedy the problem I am having for some time at least. I plan to
gut my cat. --any hints or ideas on the process? What is the best option if
I were to put a cat. in? should I go new or used?where should I try buying?

Any ideas would be helpful.
