BTDT, many times. And if one of the multi-pack
springs failed the entire unit failed almost
instantly.

AFAIK, it's accepted that Germans make the best
springs and wire. High quality steel alloys, and
strict QC. One of the specialties of the Ruhr valley.
Wire drawing and spring factories are everywhere.
Don't know if this is true, but some of my friends
told me some Nascar teams were using German valve
springs? Maybe some with higher winding engines
without the valve failures? I'd be interested to see
how an old set(250k+ miles) of springs tests.
My. $.02
