You might want to replace/check all the big high current wires at the
same time, and also clean/verify the ground connections (alt and
starter, EG, are their mounting bolts) and perhaps add another, nice
beefy ground cable to the engine from the battery. What I do there is
leave the stock section from the tranny to the batt tray (unless you
want to replace that, too...) and run a nice 2 or 4 ga wire from the
battery to another tranny bolt.
