windsheild fluid sprayer

While we're on the subject of washerjets, I have a question about mine.  I
have a new 2001.5 A4 1.8TQ, which comes with the heated washer jets (it's
standard up here in Canada, what I guess would be the Cold Weather Package
down in the US, Heated seats, outside mirrors, etc.)

I was filling my washerfluid last night, as we've just gotten our first
snowfall this morning (Yeah!  Been waiting for this for 9 months.  Finally
get to test out the new snowtires and the Quattro system!) and decided to
see just how hot those heated washer jets make the fluid.

So, I stood outside the car, and felt the spray as my buddy activated the
washers.  Didn't seem warm at all (this was with the car off).  Next, we
started the car, turned on the rear defrost, the lights, everything (in case
you need to have something else on to activate it), and tried again.  Still
no warmth to the fluid coming out of the jets (but my hands are nice and
clean now, along with the back of my pants getting a little wet when the
headlight washers activated for the first time as I was standing there.
Those are REALLY COOL!)

Now, I haven't taken the time to check out any fuses or anything, as it was
11pm, and it was getting a little cold standing outside with cold fluid all
over my hands, nor have I gone back to re-read the manual, to see if it
offers any tips on this subject.

I saw this thread this morning, and I wanted to ask any of you if you have
any experience with the heated washer jets, and why they possibly may not be
doing their job?  Should the fluid be nice and hot as it comes out?

I know the car is still under warrantee, but it's still another 3-4 months
before my next checkup, and I don't feel like going in for something minor
like this, especially if it's only due to something I'm doing wrong.
