mine did the same - weird humming/hushiung noise, followed by a
grinding/shrapnel noise when the t.b. finally seized and took out a few of
the p.p. "fingers" - which wound up rattling around in the case.

ugly. i drove it like that for 2 days till i JUST made it to the shop.

clutch/pp/tb/plus some other little parts inthere with labor totalled about
1500 bucks. ouch. shifts good now. have them do the slave cylinder while its
all out + exposed if it hasnt been done recently.
