15x7.5 et 40 wheels on 86 5ktq?

Hi,
Has anyone have any BTDT with mounting a set of 15x7.5 et 40 wheels on a
5ktq?
I have an extra set of tires (BFG R1s, autocross cast offs) and would like to
mount them on a wider wheels then the stock 6 inch rims.
Fuch's 7 inch wheels would be nice, but none are available that do not cost
big $ ( around 500 - 800), and
I can buy new 15x7's from tire rack for 100.00 apiece also.....
....But..... 15x7.5 s4 wheels might seem the ticket with their 40 mm offset.
Any advice?
Also has anyone used a 225/50/15 with the before mentioned combos?
