That seems like an overly complex mod with not many tangible results and a
lot of real drawbacks (breaking down, can't add water; perhaps won't work
with certain parts).  The question should be, could you alternate riding
in 2 exact same cars, one w/ and one w/o Evans, and be able to tell by
driving them (w/o the smell giving it away of course)?
