Phil's correct. The hot water will freeze first. H2O has some unusual
properties. It's volume increases as it changes from a liquid state to a
solid. That's opposite of just about every other element and compound. If
H2O is pushed to super-critical fluid state, it'll have more unusual
properties that defy convention.
Yeah, I did go to a 'merican high school...but it was Brooklyn Technical
in NY.
