Alternatives to oversize MC pistons

In lieu of getting real oversize MC pistons, any
recommendations on other posibilities.

I was thinking on using perhaps KZ pistons or perhaps
from a 83/84 VW GTI with 8.5:1 compression. This would
bring compression of the Audi MC-1 moter closer to the
specs of an MC-2 motor (8.4:1) which is desireable
from
my point of view.

Question: what are some of the differences between a
KZ, GTI and MC-2 piston?

Recess depth		8.1 mm	????	???
Compression height	22.2 mm	????	???
Width			81.0 mm	81.0mm	81.0mm

I don't think I want to go the custom route with JE
pistons or similar. Just too expensive....Thanks for
