200TQ wood trim removal

It looks from this 
illustration     http://catalog.exist.ru/pic/parts/VAG08279.gif      that 
the wood panels are held in place by a combination of clips and a spring 
(far right side of dash).   I'd say you have to pull out the vent grilles 
and reach the clips from there, but no BTDT yet.
