5kt ignition switch

Are ignition switches (electric portion) a dealer only item?
My Audi frustration level has I think reached it's limit, and I will finish 
owning the units I now own, but with their demand on my time and the total 
lack of any dealer support (or parts support of any kind unless you have 4 
days to wait) I will NOT buy another.
