I assume that the Blau harness for your model is similar to the one
I used on my 4K (i.e., you have 3 relays, one for the low beams, one
for the high beams, and one for the driving lights).

The auto check system *may* need to be "faked out", because only one
side's original headlight plug is being used to power the relay for
both sides. The auto-check compares the difference in current draw
between the two sides, apparently; and the Blau setup may cause the
auto check to think that one side is blown. However, the relay coil
current may be too low to really do that. Try it out and see if you
get a warning. If so, you may either disable this function of the
auto check system (see Scott Miller's web site for type 44s, which has
this info that should also apply to your model), or fool it somehow
with resistors on the other side.

They are simply standard DIN-spec 40A relays. Non-Blau sources should have
compatible relays. If you use less than 100W bulbs then 30A relays should
suffice (and 30A units are more commonly available).
