Brett

Thanks for the email. Here is how I was defrauded by Mr. Rob Hack. I know of
at least several others who have been taken in a similar way by this
cyber-criminal.

I was the high bidder on an Ebay auction held by Rob Hack, who at the time
was using the moniker "Holbert959" - that was several months, but MANY
Ebay names ago. I purchased a "stage II ECU upgrade" for my Audi 200.
Mr. Hack claimed in the wording of the auction that the chip came out of a
vehicle upgraded by Ned Ritchie of Intended Acceleration. I was unfortunate
enough to learn after I had had the chip installed in my ECU that this was a
boldface lie.
To add insult to injury, Rob Hack proceeded to ridicule my email attempts at
contacting him. Ned Ritchie himself told me that it would be IMPOSSIBLE to
remove his chip from an existing ECU and use it in another car. He
furthermore stated some things about Rob Hack that I will not repeat on this
list.
It was only later, after subscribing to the very excellent Audifans e-list,
that I
discovered Mr. Hack to be a well known unsavory character. Needless to say,
my ECU was destroyed, and after the initial purchase, chip installation, and
new ECU,
I am out about $900.00. All as a result of Rob Hack's lies. Since then, I
have
corresponded with a GROWING number of Hack' victims. I understand the
police
in his home town have received numerous complaints, although I don't know if
he
has yet to be convicted. I was only swindled for $900.00, but to me this is
a principle
issue. Rob Hack is at this very moment plying his trade in cyberspace. It
may take
some time, but I intend to catch up to this guy.
