Just had a look and found why this happens.
In outlook express, under Tools>Options, on the Send tab, there are the
plain text settings...
one of these settings is 'automatic text wrap' when sending, the number of
characters here is what caused your email to foul up...

I have my client set to add ">" to the original message when replying, so
even if the sender has this set to the same value as me, the annoying 'Hack
wrap' phenomenon will still occur...

Sorry, I don't know of any solution, just thought I'd pass on what I found,
as this has been annoying me for a while too...

cheers
Duncan
