Mike,
It sounds also like your blower motor's brushes are going. A quick temp
fix it to find the armature cooling hose to the motor in the plenum,
remove it from the motor, give the brush a good shove to drive it back
against the armature, and re-attach the hose. It'll work for a little
while (month or so) and you may be able to do it again but eventually,
you'll need a new blower motor.
