No, the moniker G60 does not apply at all to the model of car to which the
brakes apply, it is a reference to the brake design itself. The G-60 brake
is also referred to in TFA as the "Mark II" caliper. I think that the "60"
has something to do with the diameter of the piston ... but the G-60 has two
pistons with different diameter. I've always assumed that the "60" would be
the diameter of the circle that had the same area as the two pistons in the
caliper have ... but it may be something more mundane, like the 60th brake
system designed by ATE ...
The rotor that goes with the G-60 brakes have a diameter of 276mm ... which
is about 10.9 inches ...
