This is really not what the web is about.  The whole idea of URLs is that
the data is mantained once and used by everyone, rather than everyone having
their own copy.

A consequence of this is that there's a copy of one of my pages on the web
with errors in it (it's been updated on my site since it was 'lifted') that
also attributes them to me.  It would be far better to exploit the web as it
was designed, insert a link to my page (or steal it on demand using dynamic
HTML) and for everyone to tell ME when they find an error or omission so I
can correct it for everyone else.
