My V8 is imported from the US, and actually has got two VINs.. One US
VIN with all the letters, and another VIN (which the European
registration uses) with Z's in place of the US specific letters.. In
addition, the VIN plate in the engine bay is hand-made with the
WAUZZZ44ZLN... VIN, while the one stamped on the firewall and the one
in the windshield begins with WAUKE5441LN.... Of course the chassis
number is the same (000369 - _very_ early 1990)..
