My guess as with Dennis' case is the CV joints on the driveshaft.

Subject: More Vibration, Driveshaft?
Well I am noticing more vibration from my driveline. I have a slight
vibration at 6k rpm and higher, not too noticeable, but there. Now I am
getting a vibration on decell at 2.5k rpm to just below 2k rpm, like a tire
scrubbing in a parking lot kind of feeling. Happens in all gears, but
doesn't happen when coasting out of gear. I am going underneath the car
tomorrow to take a looksee at everything. The exhaust seems to be held up
alright, but it is kind of rotting away.
What is, if any, consensus on vibration like this? Fellow I talked to
today said it could be the driveshaft itself or the center bearings. He
said the carbon driveshafts have a tendency to give out, or something to
that effect, comments? I don't even know what driveshaft I have yet. My
90q20v is a pre-march '90 build, old isv, single piston brakes.
I plan to check the mounts out, but aside from that checking other
things is foreign to me. How should I check the center bearing, anything
special? Figure I'll be checking for play in all of these wearable parts.
Thanks,
