{LAC] Converting MiniDV to WebViewable Content

Anyone out there care to engage in a dialog on their BTDT experience with
uploading / converting MiniDV to on-line viewable content?  I'd like to get
opinions on format, compression, sizing...  I've got 3hrs of inside the car
tape from the 2001 Wild West ProRally that needs an audience.

If this would be completely annoying to the whole list feel free to make it
a private response.
