Looking for crankshaft pully with no AC belt !

I don't think its a question of balance in the rotational sense, as you
would apply to a roadwheel or suchlike. What is pertinent is that the
balancer has sufficient mass to buffer torsional harmonics from the firing
impulses. Without sufficient mass the balancer (or pulley if you want to
regard it in simple terms) can't do its job and at certain revs you run the
risk of setting up a standing wave within your crankshaft at some spurious
multiple of the rpm. Ping!, your crankshaft fractures and you 'll wish you
hadn't sacrificed smoothness for power.
