MC vs. 20vt-weaker bottom end.

One thing I have learned recently, that I have not ever heard brought up
regarding using the NG bottom end in a 20vt motor, the NG and MC motors have
vastly different pistons AND connecting rods. The NG uses a slimmer, longer
144mm rod, the MC uses a beefy, shorter 136mm conn rod. The MC has a lower
compression height, but is a much taller piston with ring lands twice that of
the NG piston. Also, the NG uses a 20mm wrist pin, the MC uses a 22mm.
So, problem is, building a more powerful motor than the MC using a weaker
engine. I am not saying that the NG won't take 300hp, but compared to the
MC, it will bend rods and melt pistons sooner, a major consideration in going
the 20v route to get considerably more power than the 10v MC. Pretty much
rules out the idea for me, custom pistons required.
