I had the same problem.....as a matter of fact I think I posted under the
exact same subject heading.  Found no help on the list, but discovered
the answer by accident, it was the rubber boot above the air flow sensor.
 It had a hairline tear, along the large "hose" clamp.  I put my elbow on
it as I was leveraging to check something else....and the engine
stumbled....even with the air duct off the car it was hard to see the
hairline tear.  Replaced with a used one I had and haven't had a problem
since.  Worth a look.
