No Euro hitch usable in US

Like I said in my original post, I don't know squat about towing so I was
asking whether the 0.031" difference is really going to make a difference.
This thread started back on the S-car list when someone posted the Westfalia
GmbH link as a source of factory trailer hitches.  If someone wanted to use
the factory trailer hitch in the US, and the .031" smaller ball is a no no,
then depending on the design of the hitch it might be possible to weld/mount
on a new 2" ball.
