does this sound like a good deal? (Quantum Syncro in Maine)

Mine both rattled. My local wrench said he used to take them off the truck
at the dealer, and let them run behind the shop 'till the rattling subsided.

My diffs were slow to unlock.

I loved mine, both totalled at 200k and running well. They were simpler and
often easier to work on than the various quattros among my family and
friends, but not as fun to drive. More utilitarian, especially with the
factory roof rack. Hopefully he's got the Thule style cross pieces and
security cover, I've already given mine away. My ACs never worked, I never
tried to fix them. Both suffered from warping front rotors, rusting parking
brake cables, rear shock troubles, rust around the rear window (the plastic
trim holds moisture & salt, yank it off). A few friends here have them,
still pretty trouble free. Someone sent me pics of a turbo-MC conversion
synchro FS a few months ago, sweet.
