After some research, I've found only two good options- radios with design
and illumination matching Audi's dashes and lacking the 'Las Vegas look'.
The two candidates are: Grundig (pretty expensive, $350 for a radio/single
CD) which has 'Varicolor' illumination: variable from green to amber to
red. Great quality, nice features (no 'mute' though...). The other is
Becker. For the extremely well-heeled only: radio/single CD is $550.
Illumination is red, design is really German, quality is legendary. Stock
radio for expensive M-Bs.
Regards, Tom
