Radio/speaker musings

OK, I've got a '93 90S with the OEM Audi Gamma radio/cassette.
Now since I added a Sony 10disc CD changer, that I obtained for free,
I'm pretty satisfied with it.

I'm not satisfied with the speakers however.
I replaced the front original speakers a couple years ago.
The rear speakers are another story.

Lately, the "knobs" that hold the speaker onto the door panel have been
breaking off (if you have had them apart, you know what I mean). So I
got to thinking, has anyone else considered replacing just the rear main
speaker, and keeping the tweeter and utilizing the OEM Nokia amp for
each speaker? I wonder how many watts the Nokia amp puts out, as I
wouldn't want to put in too small of a speaker and end up blowing it up,
or having it sound as poor as the OEM ones do after 8 years. The reason
I thought of this, is that most speakers are meant to be surface mounted
on the "outside", rather than on the "inside" like the OEM rear main
speakers. By going to an aftermarket speaker, I could solidly mount it
to the outside of the door panel, in the same hole, and still drive it
with the OEM Nokia amp.

Thoughts? Comments?
Does anyone know the output of the OEM Nokia amps?
