misaligned tranny mount: need advise.

Hi listers.

I replaced engine mounts and tranny mounts (in that order).  Second
tranny mount turned out to be misaligned with a hole in tranny's
supporting bracket - I could not insert bolt into mount.  I ended up
slackening three bolts holding the bracket, inserting bolt and tightenig
bolts again. But any way this mount is under, I think,  abnormal load.
What is correct procedure? Maybe I should not have tighten nuts on 3
installed before mounts?  Any recommendations?
