While we are on the subject of Nokia phones, I would like to adapt my
Nokia 3390 into my neu-S4's built-in phone pre-wiring and using the
Audi's built-in mic and stereo speakers. The audiworld.com site has
some tech info on how to do this for the Nokia 51xx/61xx series phones,
based on the corresponding car adapter kit. However there is nothing
for the newer 33xx series phones. While doing some web search I found
the Nokia CARK-128 hands-free car kit that has all the right features
and could probably be made to do this, but alas it is not available
in the US. What is available is the lesser CARK-125 kit but it doesn't
have all the pieces to allow full integration into the Audi phone wiring.
I contacted a German wireless phone and accessories dealer and they
said that the CARK-128 is brand new and is expected to become available
very soon in Europe. They could ship to the US. I am looking for
some opinions as to whether this is a feasible project to do.
Reading the audiworld.com tech articles it would appear that Audi has
made the phone pre-wiring in the recent cars very configurable and should
be adaptable to a very wide variety of phones, if the necessary adapter
kit is installed.

Also, a search on http://www.google.com using
keyword "cark-128" will give you the necessary info on the elusive CARK-128
kit for the Nokia 33xx series phone.
