Of course you should look at it. Looking is free. The more you look, the
more you'll know when you find a good one.

As for this one, a power steering rack is $200 or so from Jorgen
(www.jorgenauto.com), not installed. Are you handy with tools? Window
switches can be pulled apart and cleaned, or simply replaced. Sometimes it
is broken wires in the door jamb (inside the rubber boot) that cause
windows not to work.

When you say "belts", are you talking alternator and A/C belts, or the
camshaft timing belt (singular). The first two are simple. The timing belt
isn't. If the timing belt has been done, they should also have done the
water pump. Check the receipt. No receipt? Then assume it *wasn't* done.

My Pearl '89 200 TQ has 216K miles, so there is lots of life left in your
candidate. I paid $2900 for mine a year and a half ago, it had 193K miles
on it, and I thought I got a bargain. I've since put close $3000 more into
it. I'm still very happy with it. In perspective, that's less than a down
payment and 10 months car payments on something new. I'm ahead of the game
with more car than I could get new.
