1986 Audi problem need help

Hey 
I have a 1986 Audi Treser super 5000 quattro turbo with 136k miles on it. 
When I put the gas pedal to the floor the car wont accelerate. it will just 
buck back and forth and hesitate until you let off the gas alittle bit.. do 
you have any idea why it would do this? also when the engine is running i 
disconnected the o2 sensor connector and the car still ran the same, no 
change at all the car is pretty much slow and doesnt feel very fast.
