Knock sensor activated... help?

It is fairly rare for the knock sensor itself to actually go bad.
More likely that it simply needs to be retorqued to spec, and check
the wiring.  Also, check that there is not something else generating
sounds that is being picked up by the knock sensor and confusing the
ECU into thinking that the engine is pinging.
