Opinions on S4 vs. 200tqa

Audi-philes: I know it isn’t really fair to try to compare cars that are 10+
years different in age, but I’ll ask anyway. A friend has an ’89 200tqa but
is considering an S4. As neither of us has driven an S4, we’ll be doing so
soon, but I wondered if any of you had thoughts on the pro’s/con’s of
trading the 200 for the S4. What adjustments would probably be needed,
either in driving style or maintenance or whatever? She doesn’t need the
space of the avant as she has other vehicles to fill that need, so the S4
would be the commuter and primary transportation vehicle. Any opinions?
