Or I can trade you the ECU in the wagon I just got which I think has
botched/shorted to ground or zener resistor mod - fuel pump runs all of the
time. What I'm saying is - Don't do this - not when the QLCC chip is so
cheap.
Yes - K26 is the stock unit. $30 is a steal if the impeller spins freely.
On second thought, don't use that used K26, as it is a risky endeavour -
umm, where is it located? ;>

'87 5kcstqw x2 - one with QLCC, other with fuel pump hard wired to ignition,
and I fear the wiring mess I'm about to encounter.
[Jason,
I think you might have your K #'s messed up. The K26 is the OEM turbo for
the 86-90 type 44 or 5000/200. The K24 was the OEM turbo for the 91 200tq
and for the urS4. The K26 breathes better at high speeds and therefore you
will have a higher top speed with it. The K24 has a faster spool up so you
will have less turbo lag. I believe you can just put one in place of the
other with no problems as far as water and oil connections go.
As far as the ECU goes you can do the zener no problem. Or you can contact
Benn Swann as he is offering QLCC chips for the ECU's at a very nice price.
