OK...I guess I assumed the bigger turbo would be on the later cars, but you 
know what you do when you assume! Obviously, I'm pretty new to Audis and 
turbos. Thanks for clearing things up! I checked the lateral play of the 
impeller...minimal...and the impeller would spin freely. So, maybe I can 
make someone a deal. ;) I'm going to school in Wheeling, WV. It would be 
cool to meet up with a fellow lister sometime. Anyway---the car came with a 
manual boost adjuster on it. It's made by Speedaire. I've looked for this 
company on the net to no avail. Anybody ever heard of this company? I think 
I know how the thing works, but the car is not chipped so it won't really do 
much good. To tell the truth, I'm not even sure if the PO installed it 
correctly. There are only two lines coming off of it and neither of them 
have T-fittings on them. Does this sound right? Others I've seen have 
T-fittings.
