most of these stories are warm engine tales. with a cold engine, your
ISV lets in 3 times as much air and keeps the thing running.
You could tune it to idle fine, warm, but then cold you'd have to give
it air via your right foot.
also there is the issue of unintended ISV, ie leaks in the plumbing, and
possible tunings to accomodate those leaks. factors that will throw
everything off.
at warm idle, an ISV lets in *less* air running than unplugged. When
cold, more air. I think...
