Discounts on Mailorders

Hello Listers,

I just wanted to clarify something before I place an order.  I asked earlier
this week if there were any mailorder places that offered special discounts.
It was mentioned that ClairParts was one place that offered a discount to
list members.  I checked the audifans.com Parts section, and it says to talk
to Mac or Barry.

But when I emailed them to ask them what this discount might be, he replied
that there is no additional discounts offered over and above their regular
prices that you see on their website.  He says that what people might be
referring to is that their prices are "discounted" as compared to the prices
at the parts counter at your local dealership.

Is this true?  Has anyone ever actually received an "additional" discount
off their listed prices?  (ie: By calling Barry and mentioning our Quattro
List, they then got an additional 5-10% off their listed prices?)
