Help! My dash lights don't work

I need some help with my dash lights. Lately when I turn the lights on, 
the dash lights don't come on.

Sometimes, when I shut the car down, start it again and turn the lights 
on they work as well. It seems to be getting worse though.

Any ideas? BTDT?
