Help! My dash lights don't work

Switches in Type 44 don't seem to have the problem 4k cars have, although 
all Audi headlight circuits do better when they're relayed.  Intermittent 
dash lights in Type 44's more commonly result from failing solder joints in 
the instrument cluster, I believe.  There is a link to the license plate 
bulb in the dashboard lights, but I don't recall that being 
intermittent.  There should be lots of posts regarding this matter if you 
do a Google search on the audifans.com website.
