Audi lighting

FWIW, my 200's DOT lights are still clear, with a good set of reflectors.
I did the 9007 conversion, and, although these aren't great lights (and
certainly don't compare to my GTi's round H4, H1 Euro's) for suburban
driving around here (suburban NYC) they are more than adequate, and
throughly outperform the lights on my parents Gen 1 Sable, and their Gen
1 Legacy. They seem to perform more than adequately enough to make my way
down the Palisades Parkway (hilly, curvy, and unlit, through a State
Forest), though they don't really cut it at full speed on backcountry
roads without the center lines. The point on this is, I think many a type
44 T's lights are just in really bad shape, and the optical design,
though marginal, isn't quite as bad as most seem to make them out to be.
Would I prefer Euros, you bet! But at least around here, their advantages
aren't going to be of much help for me.
