Parts supply and Anniversary Quattro

Is it just my luck or should I expect UK Audi dealers
to hold no stocks of even the most basic parts?
I tried 3 dealers this morning for an inlet manifold gasket
for my coupe (KV engine), all said Tuesday at the earliest.
Not such a bad day, though, as Wayside Audi in Milton Keynes
have the finest urQ I've ever seen on display in the showroom;
delivery mileage and never registered. 
I also got lucky curing my wobbly gearshift by changing the
shift rod for a good used one (and cheated Haynes by not
having to remove the heat-shield, result!).
Also, Audi-parts in Hockliffe have a mint half-leather interior
from a coupe in stock, 300ukp if anyone's interested.
