Wow!
Had a great time - here's the highlights -
set my personal best - 1:08xx, several of them - tires going away and it was
cold, though - only about 45 degrees at best.
second personal record - first spin! It was awesome - lots of fun. Sounds
weird, but it was a blast to lose the car and not hit something. Right.
I was running pretty consistantly with the M3's - both E30 and E36. The only
cars that were really faster than me had LOTS of horsepower - a 944 Turbo S
that was no where near stock, a Supra Turbo (the last one) that was no were
near stock, and a Viper GTS that was no where near stock. The Viper was
turning 57's, Wow. We were flying though - only a few seconds off
instructor driven M3's - that was a real treat. The rollbar made a big
difference in car feel - it feels much, much tighter. I figure that with the
225's and some more guts (no braking for the uphill or west bend - I can do
it, I just need to tell myself that.) I can run in the 1:05's. The 225's
didn't fit this time because the bolts I had just weren't quite long enough
with the spacers. Bummer. Still, had a great time. M5 engined 325is
decided to get a close up of the wall. The wall won. A few audis in
attendence - the proverbial ur-S4, with lowered suspension, engine work and
17" Mille Miglias - it's always there!, an A4 1.8T that had MTM badges and
was quite quick - probably around 1:10-1:12, and a 200TQA that was
essentially stock but still cool. Thoughts - need more tires, and the car is
going to be ungodly fast with the 20V. Imagine an E30 M3, with 500 less lbs.
Wow. Ok, I'm going to go dream now. Any questions, hit me.
Later!
